The Problem
For Starbucks, we faced the challenge of standing out in a crowded digital landscape—something I tackled over a five-year period. With so much content competing for attention, it felt like trying to find a decent cup of coffee in a gas station. We needed a way to effectively communicate our brand story and connect with our audience on platforms like TikTok and Instagram, all while staying ahead of the latest trends.
The Solution
So, I rolled up my sleeves and got to work. I started creating videos that were more engaging than a barista desperately trying to remember my name. Focusing on TikTok and Instagram Reels, I transformed our key initiatives and seasonal promotions into content that people actually wanted to share. And editing for famous influencers? That was like finding a hundred-dollar bill in a pair of old jeans—totally unexpected and definitely a nice surprise.
The Process
Pre-Production: I kicked things off by collaborating with marketing and design teams to brainstorm concepts that would perk up anyone's morning. We mapped out storylines and visuals that captured our brand essence.
Video Shoot: During the shoot, I supervised post-production, ensuring everything we captured would translate smoothly into the final product. I coordinated with the crew to keep an eye on pacing and flow, making sure we set the stage for a seamless editing experience.
Post-Production: After the shoot, I dove into editing, stitching everything together into a cohesive story. I added animations for flair, performed color correction to enhance every frame, and polished the audio for that smooth finish.
Through this whole process, I delivered content that resonated with our audience and reinforced Starbucks’ brand identity—because if there’s one thing I know, it’s that nobody wants to settle for decaf.
